Solar Victoria Offering a Solar Panel Rebate for Eligible Homes Under Construction

Solar Victoria is now offering a solar panel rebate of $1,400 to eligible homeowners of homes under construction.
To further help homeowners, Solar Victoria also offers an interest-free loan of $1,400 which is paid by direct debit at $40 per month from one month after the installation.
Not sure when your house will be done? Don’t worry – for homes under construction, the timeframe between approval and installation has been extended to 270 days.
How do I know if I’m eligible?
The criteria for the Solar Panel Rebate is:
- You are the owner of the property
- You and anyone else listed on the rates notice have a combined household taxable income of less than $180,000 per year (based on their Australian Tax Office Notice of Assessment)
- You do not have an existing solar PV system
- The value of your finished home will be under $3 million
- The property address has never received a solar battery or PV rebate
- You have not previously received a solar battery or PV rebate as an owner-occupier under the Solar Homes Program (in the last 6 years)
- Your builder has given permission for the solar installation to occur during the build.
What will I need to provide?
- Council Rates Notice or a copy of the Certificate of Title (available through Landata).
